The JA Tri County Fall Scavenger Hunt

Pile in the car and join us for this family-friendly, app-based and socially-distant scavenger hunt around Trumbull, Columbiana, and Mahoning Counties! Complete missions and answer trivia questions about our hometown, while competing against rival teams for fun prizes! All proceeds to benefit Junior Achievement of Mahoning Valley!

Registration is limited to 20 teams, so don't wait- sign up today! It’s a great way to bring corporate teams, friends and family together for an active and memorable day of fun, while helping to fund financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work-readiness programming for area students!

For participants, here's how it works:

Prior to the event JAMV will e-mail you instructions on how to download the Goose Chase app and game code to create your team. At the start of the event, teams will receive a password by text to begin the chase and to access the missions. The hunt begins promptly at 2pm and will explore stops located in all three counties. You can choose to stay within one county or split your time between all three. Join the hunt at the mission closest to you, and be sure to complete as many as possible! Teams will take a photograph of their completed mission and post on Goose Chase in order to earn points. Missions are worth different point values depending on distance and difficulty. Points can be deducted from your team if your submission falls short. Bonus points can also be awarded to missions accomplished in extraordinary fashion! You can keep track of how your team is doing via the activity feed and the leaderboard. All winners will be announced during a Finish Line Zoom Party proceeding the event! A smart phone or smart device is required to play (at least one team member). Participants are asked to please obey Ohio traffic and vehicle safety laws, as well as adhere to CDC Covid-19 guidelines. Lets stay safe and have some fun!


Mission Sponsor:

Mission Sponsors will be listed on the Goose Chase app, and teams will answer a Trivia Question (or) complete a Photo Stop at your business to receive points towards their final score! The higher the Mission Sponsorship, the greater the value in points. All Mission Sponsors will receive social media and website recognition, as well as a feature in the Junior Achievement of Mahoning Valley annual review. Sponsoring the JA Tri-County Fall Scavenger Hunt will allow JAMV to provide prizes and treat bags to all participating teams!
